At BroadConnect, our team members’ health and safety are of paramount importance, especially given the current situation with the COVID-19 (coronavirus). We have put protocols in place, in an abundance of caution, to minimize risk to our team members, our customers, and the community at large.

Important measures we have taken immediately are:

  • Leveraging our leading-edge communication technologies to enable most of our team members to work from home
  • Limiting all team members’ interactions if they are required to be in the office
  • Prohibiting all business and non-essential travel
  • Increasing our office cleaning and hygiene measures standards
  • Deploying additional health and safety measures for any on-site visits

All these efforts are to ensure the health and safety of our team members so there is no impact in servicing and supporting our customers today.

Our goal is to continue to provide exceptional customer service and support, even during this period of uncertainty. Rest assured that all support channels (email, portal, and phone) for our customers’ services will continue to be available in all capacities.

BroadConnect Business Continuity and Connectivity Services

We are fortunate to have access to business communication technologies and resources which will not only keep our team and customers safe, but also ensure business continuity throughout any situation.

Twinning

BroadConnect’s twinning service enables your office phone and one other phone to ring simultaneously. The benefit of twinning is that should calls not reach the users office phone or the twinned phone, all calls will revert to the users call coverage option in the office. This ensures that all calls are treated professionally and are fully managed by the BroadConnect system. In an emergency scenario, users can enable the twinning option and still receive calls as if they were in the office.

Call Forwarding

Call forwarding enables individuals to forward their work number to another number of their choice such as a mobile device. This is the most effective way of redirecting business calls. However please note that once the call is forwarded, it can no longer be retrieved by the BroadConnect system for further treatment.

Voicemail-to-Email Notification

With a voicemail notification or voicemail to email service, you can provide your employees with a second communication point when working away from their office. These services will either send an email notification or an audio file via email that states there is a voicemail ready to be retrieved on the office system. These notifications ensure that workers will never miss a client’s message while away from the office.

Multi-Party Conferencing

BroadConnect Conferencing allows businesses to communicate with large numbers of people using one audio bridge. If your employees work remotely, you can use this to communicate with them as a group instead of individually. Conferencing services are considered a cost-effective way to create an ad-hoc or scheduled audio meeting when needed.

Teleworker

BroadConnect’s remote office service that allows employees to work from anywhere with the same voice service functionality as the office. This service can be used as a full-time work solution or for emergencies only.

BCT Communicator

Our BCT Communicator software-based solution enables your mobile phone or your desktop device to emulate your BroadConnect extension—allowing your staff to work remotely by leveraging mobile data plans, wifi hotspots, or to operate from their homes utilizing their existing internet connection.

Enabling work-from-home capabilities

Our business communication solutions allow you to mimic your office presence, by making and receiving calls from any location using our softphone option. This ensures your customers can reach you regardless of your physical location. In addition to these calling features, we can provide enhanced collaboration capabilities through videoconferencing, instant messaging and presence, chat rooms and file-sharing.

BroadConnect has the following two option to enable your team to work remotely:

Option 1*

Team members can take the physical phone home with them and plug it into their home Internet router, though they also will need a power adapter (one time cost involved)

* Quality of Service (QoS) may vary as it is dependent on your home internet provider.

Option 2**

BroadConnect can enable BCT Communicator soft phone client and the users can have that installed on their computers (Desktop Client) for that they will need a USB headset. The user can either use the desktop client or they can use the mobile app over Wi-Fi or 3G/4G-LTE.
